USF assistant track and field coach Melissa Miller resigned Tuesday following reports of two NCAA violations.
The University self-reported the offenses, which included Miller telling student athlete Adam Hortian without authorization that she would "highly recommend" him for a graduate assistantship that did not exist.

Hazing in any form is degrading, wrong and disgusting. It needs to be eliminated at all levels of education, and athletics are not immune from the law.
Last fall, we witnessed the temporary suspension of the Kappa Sigma fraternity from UT for an allegation of hazing.

In late April, United Cab Company stopped providing free rides for those too drunk to drive home from the popular USF-adjacent bar, University Area Hangout (UA). United owner Nancy Castellano said people were abusing the service, called Alert Cab, by going out with the intention of using it to avoid paying normal fares.
